Trauma Release Therapy
I run this course periodically throughout the year. If you would like to be informed when the next date is confirmed, send me a message, and I will add you to the list.
Trauma Release Therapy
Emotional Balance and Nervous System Regulation - Original method by Lone Sorensen
About the course
Trauma Reflexotherapy is a structured method developed by Lone Sorensen, based on her 45+ years of clinical work in facial and neuro-foot reflexology. I am trained and certified by Lone Sorensen to teach this method, and I bring it to Australia through the Australian School of Facial and Neuro Reflexology.
The course teaches therapists how to work with emotional trauma, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation using precise manual stimulation of reflex areas and microsystems on the face, scalp, and feet.
The approach is not symptomatic. It works by identifying where trauma and emotional stress are stored in the nervous system — in the limbic system, the amygdala, and cellular memory — and applying structured reflex protocols to release those patterns and support neurobiological rebalancing.
What the method addresses
The course is relevant for therapists working with clients who present with:
Chronic stress, low energy, and sleep disturbance
Acute or historical trauma, including PTSD
Anxiety, depression, and emotional instability
Burnout and mental exhaustion
Eating disorders and self-harm patterns
Children, adolescents, adults, and elderly clients requiring deep nervous system regulation
What you will learn
The program covers both the theoretical framework and the practical protocols required to apply this method in a clinical setting.
Theory includes the limbic system and amygdala, cell memory, hormonal and neurotransmitter regulation, the five-element framework, and the neurobiological basis of trauma response.
Practical training covers seven microsystems used on the face and scalp, one microsystem used in neuro-foot reflexology for trauma treatment, tactile analysis for identifying root cause versus current emotional state, and a structured seven-step treatment protocol.
You will also learn a self-help method that can be taught directly to clients.
Who this course is for
The course is designed for qualified therapists — reflexologists, massage therapists, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, and related practitioners. No prior training in facial reflexology is required to participate.
Format and assessment
The course runs as a hands-on live training. Participants receive printed teaching material. Assessment includes a written test and a submitted client case history. A diploma is issued upon successful completion.
The course counts toward RAB continuing education hours for eligible professional groups.
About the method's origins
Trauma Reflexotherapy was developed within the Sorensensistem framework by Lone Sorensen. The method draws on microsystem research from Dr. Yamamoto (YNSA, Japan), Dr. Castillo Morales (Argentina), Dr. Wong (USA), Dr. Chau (Vietnam), Maria Perez (Argentina), and Dr. J. Bossy (France).
